The Toronto Blue Jays scored five unanswered runs and scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as they defeated the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 7-6. It was a crazy ending to the game as Alex Rios scored on a fielders choice by Scott Rolen. Orioles shortstop Feddie Bynum committed an error on the play as well that allowed Rios to score the winning run.

Rios finished the game with three rbi while Vernon Wells was right behind him with two rbi. Rod Barajas had an rbi for the Jays as well in the game.

B.J. Ryan improved his record to 2-3 on the season as he pitched the top of the ninth inning to get the victory. Dustin McGowan was the starting pitcher for the Jays and he lasted four innings. McGowan gave up four hits and four runs including one home run in the game as he ended up with a no decision. Jason Frasor had a bad game out of the pen as he gave up two hits and two runs as well.

The Blue Jays will try to go up 2-0 in the series as they face off against the Orioles again on Wednesday night.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Dustin McGowan gave up four runs over six innings and the Blue Jays offense wasn’t able to pick him up as the Jays lost to the A’s by the score of 4-2. McGowan didn’t pitch that bad as he gave up six hits and only walked one while striking out five. In the end though he dropped to 6-7 on the season.

After McGowan left the game, Brandon League pitched the final two innings and gave up two hits but no runs. League did a good job of keeping the A’s at only four runs and giving the offense a chance to come back.

The offense however struggled all night long as they were only able to put to runs on the scoreboard. Both of the run came in the fifth inning when Adam Lind hit a two run home run. The Jays struck out six times and left 14 runners on base in the game.

The Blue Jays will now be off on Thursday and then start up a weekend series with the Los Angeles Angels.

The Toronto Blue Jays had problems all night at the plate against the Milwaukee Brewers as they were shutout 7-0. The Jays were only able to record four hits in the entire game while the Brewers were playing home run derby off the Blue Jays pitching staff.

Dustin McGowan only lasted four innings as he gave up four hits, four runs, and three home runs. McGowan of course took the loss and fell to 5-5 on the season. Brian Wolfe then came in and gave up one run which came on a home run. Jesse Carlson pitched a scoreless seventh inning but then in the eighth inning, Jason Frasor gave up two runs on a home run.

As you can tell the Blue Jays pitchers were serving up beach balls to the Brewers batters. They can’t do that if they want to pick up a victory in the series.

Ahh, now that was an up an down game for the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday afternoon against the New York Yankees. Blue Jays close B.J. Ryan gave up three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Yankees came back to beat the Blue Jays 9-8. The big hit was a walk off two run home run by Jason Giambi that won it for the Yankees.

Ryan didn’t have his good stuff at all in the ninth inning. Before the Giambi home run, Ryan got the first two outs of the inning but then gave up singles to Alex Rodriguez and Hideki Matsui. Ryan’s record dropped to 1-2 on the season with the loss.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Dustin McGowan pitched 5 1/3 innings while giving up seven hits and five runs to get a no decision.

Matt Stairs had a huge day at the plate as he went 3-5 with five rbi including a two run home run, two run single, and a rbi ground rule double. Lyle Overbay had the Blue Jays other two rbi in the game in the fifth inning with a two run double.

Dustin McGowan took the loss after pitching 6 1/3 innings and giving up five hits and three runs. McGowan’s record dropped to 2-4 with the loss. Jason Frasor, Jesse Carlson, and Scott Downs pitched the final 2 2/3 innings without giving up another run.

The only run the Blue Jays had came in the first inning on a Brad Wilkerson solo home run. Other then that the Blue Jays struggled to get the big hit and score some runs.

Dustin McGowan pitched 7 1/3 innings and only gave up four hits. Great performance out of McGowan who struckout six batters while not walking a batter. The win was McGowan’s second of the season. B.J.
Good win for the Blue Jays as they improved their record to 16-17 on the season.

The Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 5-3 on Thursday night as the Blue Jays were swept by the Rays. Talk about a very embarrassing series for the Blue Jays who should never get swept by the Rays.

Dustin McGowan only lasted four innings for the Blue Jays and he picked up the loss. McGowan gave up five runs (four earned) in his four innings of action. The Blue Jays used five pitchers out of the bullpen and they all pitched great as they held the Rays scoreless.

Marco Scutaro had the lone RBI for the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays other two runs were all un-earned in the game.

Overall it was just a terrible game for the Blue Jays. They should never ever get swept by the Rays. Hopefully they will learn from this and play better against the Kansas City Royals this weekend.

The Toronto Blue Jays scored two runs in the 9th inning but still fell short by a run against the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 4-3. After scoring a run in the 1st inning, the Blue Jays did not score another run until the top of the 9th inning when they made the game interesting.

Dustin McGowan pitched six innings and took the loss for the Blue Jays. McGowan is now 0-1 on the season. He allowed ten hits and three earned runs. Brian Tallet pitched one inning and allowed one earned run. Jason Frasor pitched the final inning and allowed one walk, but did not allow a hit or run to score.

Alex Rios hit a two run home run in the 9th inning and Vernon Wells had a RBI single in the first inning. That was all the scoring that the Blue Jays could get off the Orioles pitchers.

The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees played another close ballgame, but once again the Yankees came out on top with a one run victory. On Thursday, the Yankees defeated the Blue Jays 3-2.

Dustin McGowan pitched very well until the 6th inning when he ran into trouble. He ended up loading the bases with zero outs and then threw a wild pitch that scored Johnny Damon. Alex Rodriguez then struck out, and Jason Giambi hit a sacrafice fly to tie the game at 2-2.

The Yankees ended up getting the winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning when Bobby Abreu singled in Milky Cabrera.

For the Blue Jays at the plate, David Eckstein and Alex Rios both had an RBI each. The Blue Jays need some other players to help out if they want to win these close ball games in the future.
