The Toronto Blue Jays will be without one of their key pitches in 2008 as Casey Janssen will miss the entire season with a torn laburm.  Janssen will undergo surgery to fix the tear soon and then start the long rehabilitation process.

Janssen appeared in 70 games and finished with a 2-3 record and a 2.35 ERA.

Yeah there is still a baseball team in Canada lol!  And what better way to break in the upcoming 2008 season with a new Toronto Blue Jays BlogBlueJaysHomePlate will be blogging about your loved Blue Jays.  We will have game reviews, rumors and transactions, all the way down to great deals on Blue Jays tickets and merchandise!

The big question heading into the 2008 season is this:  Can the Blue Jays keep up with the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees?  In the past few season, the Blue Jays have started out strong, but haven’t been able to keep it up for an entire season.  Could this possibly be the year the Blue Jays make a strong playoff run?  Time will only tell, but we would love to hear your opinion on the upcoming season so please leave a comment!
