The Toronto Blue Jays rallied to scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and tie the game but then lost in 13 innings to the Tampa Bay Rays by the score of 8-3. Talk about a up and down game for the Blue Jays.
Vernon Wells had a two run home run and then Aaron Hill had a rbi single in the ninth inning as the Blue Jays scored three runs to tie the game. That was the only scoring they would do however as the Rays held them scoreless in extra innings.
Shawn Camp gave up five runs including a grand slam in the 13th inning to take the loss for the Blue Jays. Blue Jays starting pitcher Jesse Litsch pitched seven innings and allowed five hits and three runs in the game.
Hopefully the Blue Jays will battle back from this game and win their their game tomorrow against the Cleveland Indians. Blue Jays Blog
