The Toronto Blue Jays have trimmed down their spring training roster once again. This time, five players were sent to Triple-A Syracuse and two players were re-assigned to the Blue Jays minor league camp.
Adam Lind, Curtis Thigpen, Robinzon Diaz, Buck Coats, and Joe Inglett were optioned to Triple-A Syrcacuse.
Wayne Lydon and Ryan Patterson were re-assigned to minor league camp.
The Toronto Blue Jays will be without one of their key pitches in 2008 as Casey Janssen will miss the entire season with a torn laburm. Janssen will undergo surgery to fix the tear soon and then start the long rehabilitation process.
Janssen appeared in 70 games and finished with a 2-3 record and a 2.35 ERA.
The Toronto Blue Jays have re-assigned three players down to their minor league camp. Jamie Vermilyea, Ryan Ketchner, and Jeremy Cummings have all been sent down to the minor league club.
All players will use the experience and hopefully strive to get better and hopefully be called up to the big league team at some point in their career.
